Understanding Throne One LED Indicators

A guide to what each LED color and pattern means on your Throne One device, including presence detection, session activity, pairing mode, resets, and button assignment feedback.

Updated yesterday

Throne One uses a simple, color-coded LED system to show what the device is doing at any moment. These lights help you understand when Throne detects your presence, when a session is active, and when the device needs attention.

Below is a complete guide to each LED color and behavior.

Presence Detection

Orange Blinking Light

When the heat and motion sensor detects a user nearby, the orange LED on the front of the device will blink.

This confirms that Throne is awake and preparing to determine whether a session should begin.

Charging

Fully Charged

Solid Green Light

After reaching 98% battery charge, the green LED below the heat and motion sensor will remain on until the charging cable is disconnected.

Charging

Blinking Orange Light

When charging, the orange LED below the heat and motion sensor will remain on and pulse until the charging cable is disconnected or an activity is recording.

Manual Session Start Using Buttons & Hands-Free Session Start

Bright White LEDs (Around The Camera)

When you press your assigned button to start a session manually, the bright white LED ring around the optical camera will illuminate fully.

This indicates that Throne has begun recording. This happens during hands-free sessions as well.

To end the session manually, press the same assigned button again after at least two seconds or walk away with your phone to end the session effortlessly.

The white LEDs around the camera will turn off confirming the session has ended.

Active Session

Solid Green Light

During an active recording session, the green LED below the heat and motion sensor will turn on.

This indicates that Throne is analyzing the contents of the bowl and capturing your session.

Session Ending

When the session ends, either by walking away or by pressing your assigned button, the green LED will fade out slowly until it turns off completely.

Unassigned Button Pressed

Three Quick Red Flashes

If you press a button that is not assigned to any user, the red LEDs around the camera will flash three times.

This means the device cannot start a session because the button has not been assigned.

Entering Pairing Mode

Blue LED Ring Filling Clockwise, Then Pulsing

Pressing both buttons at the same time puts Throne One into pairing mode. The LEDs will:

  1. Light up in a clockwise pattern in blue for about three seconds.

  2. Then pulse on and off continuously.

This indicates that the device is ready to be paired or reconfigured.

Exit Pairing Mode

Press both buttons again at the same time. The blue LEDs will turn off immediately.

Factory Reset

Red LED Fill, Followed By Pulses

To perform a factory reset, press and hold Button 1 for 15 seconds.

Here is what you will see:

  • After about 5 seconds, the red LED ring around the camera begins to fill.

  • At the 15 second mark, the reset begins.

  • The LED ring will pulse three times slowly.

  • Once pulsing begins, the reset cannot be canceled.

After the three pulses, the device will complete the reset and power back into its default state.
