Troubleshooting Bluetooth Connection Issues

Steps to enter and exit pairing mode on your Throne One device when you need to reconnect it, add it to a new account, or adjust button assignments.

If your Throne One needs to be reconnected to the Throne app, paired with a new phone, or set up, you may need to place the device into pairing mode. The process is simple and takes only a few seconds.

Follow the steps below to enter pairing mode safely and correctly.


Before You Start

You will need:

  • Your Throne One device nearby and powered on

  • The Throne app installed on your phone

  • Bluetooth enabled on your phone

Pairing mode is used during initial setup, device reconnection, and button reassignment.


Locate Both Buttons on Your Throne One

Your device has two buttons positioned near the camera ring.
You will use both of them at the same time to activate pairing mode.


Press Both Buttons at the Same Time

Firmly press and hold both buttons together.

You will see the LED ring around the optical camera begin to light up in blue, moving in a clockwise direction. This takes about three seconds.


Wait for the Blue Pulsing Light

Once the blue LEDs complete the clockwise fill, the ring will begin to pulse on and off.

This pulsing blue ring means your Throne One is now in pairing mode and ready to be connected in the Throne app.


Complete Pairing in the Throne App

Open the Throne app and follow the on-screen steps to:

  • Add a new device

  • Reconnect an existing device

  • Complete a setup or button reassignment flow

The app will guide you through the rest of the pairing process.


Exit Pairing Mode

To exit pairing mode manually:

  • Press both buttons again at the same time

The LEDs will turn off immediately and the device will return to standby.

Pairing mode will also end automatically after a short period of inactivity.


Troubleshooting Pairing Mode

If your Throne One does not enter pairing mode:

  • Make sure you are pressing both buttons simultaneously

  • Check that the device is charged

  • Confirm that the LED ring is visible when buttons are pressed

  • Try pressing the buttons for a full three seconds

  • Avoid pressing one button slightly earlier than the other

  • Restart the Throne One by removing and remounting it on the toilet
