Make sure your Throne is within Bluetooth range of your phone (about 3–5 feet) before you begin.

Plug in your Throne device to exit Ship Mode.

Wait for the light on the front to begin pulsing—this means it’s ready to pair.

Open the Throne app and tap Connect your Throne to start setup.

The app will automatically search for nearby Thrones.

When you see your device listed, tap Connect.

Wait a few seconds while your phone and Throne pair.

You’ll see a confirmation in the app once the Bluetooth connection is complete.

If you run into issues please refer to Troubleshooting Bluetooth Connection issues.

Tip: If pairing doesn’t start, make sure Bluetooth is turned on in your phone settings, or move closer to the device.

After pairing, the app will prompt you to choose your Wi-Fi network.

1. Select your home network from the list.
2. Enter your Wi-Fi password.
3. Tap Connect.
4. Tap Continue.

Note: Throne only supports 2.4 GHz networks for setup. If you have both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz, choose the 2.4 GHz option.

If you run into issues please refer to Troubleshooting Wi-Fi connection issues.

Once Wi-Fi is connected, Throne will automatically check for the latest firmware.

The progress bar will show the installation process.

Keep your phone nearby and do not unplug the device during the update.

Tap Update Firmware to start the firmware update.

After the firmware update, you’ll see a confirmation screen that says Firmware is up to date!

3. Tap Done to proceed.

You’ll be guided to the next screen labeled <a href="https://support.thronescience.com/en/articles/12813953-step-2-how-to-activate-your-membership">Step 2: Activate Your Membership</a> where you’ll link your Throne Membership for personalized insights and data tracking.
